The Eye Consortium (TEC) announces new Consortium Partners: KERING eyewear and Bellinger House
[Fort Worth, TX and Los Angeles, CA] - The Eye Consortium (TEC) is one of the fastest-growing alliances for independent-minded eyecare and optical practices. The group’s mission and philosophy are built upon the idea of creating a community of like-minded business people on the ECP side and to match them with a curated, specialized Consortium of vendors who are vested in the continued success of independent eyecare. At the heart of its model is the idea that TEC has established a consortium of industry leading independent suppliers who do want to support independent practices and to see these ECPs succeed.
TEC is pleased to announce KERING eyewear and Bellinger House as new Consortium Partners in the frame segment. Both KERING eyewear and Bellinger House represent best-in-class independent frame companies who deliver the highest levels of brand desirability, design, quality, and service to our independent ECP’s. Some of Kering’s notable brands are Cartier, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Chloe, Maui Jim, and Lindberg. Based in Denmark, some of Bellinger House’s notable brands are Entourage of Seven, Bellinger, and Blac – carbon fiber eyewear. They join TEC’s other key frame Consortium partners: De Rigo REM, Modo, Lafont, Capri and Zero G.
“TEC was established around the concept of differentiation. TEC’s enhanced suite of frame offerings can help practices stand out from the homogenized practices in the marketplace, while at the same time enhancing profitability. Our loyalty is reciprocated by our Consortium partners many times over,” says TEC’s co-founders Dr. Robert Chu and Dr. Matthew Alpert.
TEC’s novel concept of vendor exclusivity “really kind of caught fire,” Drs Chu and Alpert said. “We don’t just accept any company as a vendor if they’re willing to offer a discount. We require best-in-class and unique offerings for each slice of our industry. Pairing our wide ranging Consortium partners in the frame space with our exclusive lens partner, Carl Zeiss Vision, and exclusive contact lens partner, Alcon, the support we get is the best-in-the industry to help make our 1,700+ TEC Member doors more profitable, differentiated, and stay independent.”
